Hello,

February is upon us, and four weeks into the year we're beginning to learn something of ourselves and how 2009 might be turning out. We're getting a feel for it. Discovering it, you might say. But in this of all months, what does it mean to discover?

ATR is a magazine devoted, in a general way, to discovery, and in this hastily edited issue (hey, I've been busy... discover that) we'll be discovering the relative sizes of 4-wheel-drive vehicles over time, the richly embedded discoveries in the work of Edgar Allen Poe, some horrible surprises in designer toasters, and surreal religious experiences in Marks and Spencers.
